An original antique in beautiful condition is a wonderful thing. However what happens when the structure, carving and shape of a piece is exceptional, but the finish on top has degraded to the point of no return?
At Wallrocks, we have a team of highly skilled restorers who can both restore original decoration or re-do decorative finishes using traditional techniques and materials. This is not a simple process of re-painting, but a time consuming and delicate technique of hand-mixing custom colours to match or replace original decoration on a piece of furniture.
Supplied with a colour by you, the client, or left to our own devices, we can produce a breathtaking result that mimics the original or restores what was there. We will always try where possible, to keep the original decoration of a piece where we can. Sometimes however, due to the age, condition or your personal taste, this is not possible. In such instances as these, we work with you to sympathetically re-decorate the piece of furniture using traditional techniques to achieve a beautiful and elegant result.
